NURS 370 - Nursing Informatics

This course enhances the student’s understanding of technology in healthcare and introduced the specialty field of nursing informatics.  Topics covered include the basics of nursing informatics, healthcare perspectives of technology, and the future of nursing informatics as well as administrative, healthcare delivery, education, and research applications.  Technological advances and changes to the healthcare arena, such as the contribution of informatics to quality improvement efforts, benefits to improving interprofessional communication and advancements in pandemic responses are additional themes of the course.
