PHY 151 - Principles of Physics I

The first semester of a calculus-based introduction to physics, emphasizing the use of fundamental principles to solve problems. Major topics include the transfer of momentum, energy, and angular momentum; simple models of physical systems; a statistical understanding of entropy and temperature; and the use of computational methods to solve problems. A laboratory is included.
