Return to: Pre-Professional Programs
In 2022, Westminster created an articulation agreement with Duquesne University, offering qualified students an opportunity to enter the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program after three years of undergraduate study at Westminster. Students must complete the entire four years of pharmacy studies. After students have successfully completed 125 semester hours, they receive a bachelor’s degree associated with their major from Westminster College. The student must complete all major, minor, and liberal studies requirements by the end of the junior year at Westminster, including capstone. After completing all seven years of the program, students receive a Pharm.D. from Duquesne University. The departments of biology, chemistry, and neuroscience have curricular pathways for students in these majors who want to become pharmacists. Interested students should contact the chair of one of these departments no later than the fall of their second year at Westminster. (A 2-4 pathway in each of these majors exists, but does not result in students earning a bachelor’s degree from Westminster at the end of the sixth year.)
