Business Administration Mission Statement

The Business Administration major aims for its students to build  foundations for successful business leadership through engaging in a wide variety of business courses that will prepare graduates to enter the dynamic field of business.  

 

Business Administration Learning Outcomes

1. Knowledge (Remembering): 

Learning Outcome: Recall and articulate fundamental principles of business administration, including organizational structures, management theories, and legal frameworks 

2. Comprehension (Understanding): 

Learning Outcome: Explain the interrelationships between various business functions, illustrating an understanding of how decisions in areas such as accounting, marketing, finance, and human resources impact overall organizational effectiveness.  

3. Application (Applying): 

Learning Outcome: Apply business principles to explore and propose solutions for authentic, real-world challenges while integrating ethical and legal considerations.  

4. Analysis (Analyzing): 

Learning Outcome: Critically analyze business information, evaluate financial reports, market trends, and organizational performance metrics to make informed decisions and identify areas for improvement.  

5. Synthesis (Creating): 

Learning Outcome: Integrate disciplinary knowledge to develop comprehensive business plans or projects that address contemporary challenges, emphasizing innovation, profit, and sustainability. 

Students explore multiple disciplines and participate in hands-on opportunities while experiencing a variety of business structures. Careers in this field include entrepreneurs, managers, corporate officers, or board members.
