MTH 601 - Capstone I

The first semester in a two-course capstone experience. This course focuses on the development skills and tools necessary for conducting successful research in mathematics. In addition, students will review and integrate concepts from their core courses in order to gain a global perspective of the field of mathematics. By the end of the course, students will produce a formal research proposal for a project to be completed in MTH 602.

Prerequisite: C- or higher in MTH 361 or MTH 451.
