WRI 360 - Sports Writing

Semester Hours: 4

Students will develop their ability to write compellingly about athletes and their sports. We will work in various forms, from straight news reporting to feature writing. We may even have a go at fiction and poetry. All good writing, no matter its form, must exhibit attention to grammar and style, so those concerns will be on our agenda. Since this course is structured as a workshop, we will be discussing each other’s drafts in class. Always, the discussion will aim to improve students’ ability to write well.
