BIO 603 - Biology Capstone

Semester Hours: 4

A one-semester, non-experimental capstone experience for students enrolled in the BA in Biology degree program. The course will
begin with a group exploration of a select biological topic including a seminar style immersion and discussion of the topic. Students will
then identify and research a biological topic of their own interest and develop a proposal for a project to create novel informational
content on their topic for a targeted audience in a style of their choosing. The course will culminate with the creation of a publication-quality piece of work that will be presented in an appropriate forum.

Prerequisite: Successful completion (C- or better) of BIO 201 , BIO 202 , and at least one BIO 300-400 course.
