SED 572 - Secondary Special Education Field Experience

Semester Hours: 2

This course is an off-campus experience in a Local Education Agency serving students in grades 7-12. The field experiences provide the student with opportunities to participate with teachers and young adults who have special needs in educational settings. For secondary minors who desire an experience with youth who have disabilities. Personal transportation is required. PDE Stage 2 - Exploration: 40 hours.

Prerequisite: Must have completed at least three semesters and two education courses at Westminster College and have a GPA of at least 2.800. Current PDE Clearances: PA Criminal History, Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and PPD Testing.
