SED 562 - Special Education Field Experience

Semester Hours: 2

This course is an off-campus experience in a Local Education Agency (LEA) serving students in the PreK-12  grades. The field experiences provide the student with opportunities to participate with teachers and children who have special needs in classrooms for Early Childhood PreK-4/Special Education PreK-12 majors, CFS majors, and other minors who desire an experience with children or youth who have disabilities. Personal transportation is required. PDE Stage 2 - Exploration: 40 hours. 

Prerequisite: Must have completed at least three semesters and two education courses at Westminster College and have a GPA of at least 2.800. Current PDE Clearances: PA Criminal History, Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and PPD Testing.
