SED 412 - Assessment Methods

The course emphasizes the development and implementation of assessment procedures for students who have disabilities. Teacher candidates will become familiar with a variety of assessment instruments and techniques to administer to evaluate children who have disabilities in PreK-12 settings effectively. This course is part of the Special Education Teaching and Learning Laboratory and must be taken in combination with SED 462 Special Education Observation and Assessment - Practicum.

Prerequisite: Approved PDE Teacher Candidacy. Current PDE Clearances: PA Criminal History, Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and PPD Testing.
