ART 101 - 2D Studio

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to two-dimensional design, focusing on the elements of art, the principles of organization, and color theory. Craftsmanship and creativity are emphasized across a variety of painting and collage-based non-representational 2D projects. Throughout the course, a shared vocabulary of design terminology is established and reinforced through in-class lectures, group discussions, and formal critiques. Meets Visual and Performing Arts Intellectual Perspective requirement (VP).
