ART 303 - Advanced Studies I

This course will allow students who have completed all foundation art courses to pursue advanced level exploration into specific materials, processes, or ideas. Emphasis will be on experimentation and exploration of media, processes, and content of their independent studio work. Additionally, students develop research skills seeking out content that supports their creative interests. The exploratory nature of independent studio work during the Advanced Studies course will prepare students for their Capstone semester. Mentorship by the instructor may include any necessary demonstrations of tools or techniques and in-process critiques. The course is designed for art majors and minors.
