HIS 222 - Social and Intellectual History of the United States

Semester Hours: 4

A study of the major currents of the intellectual and social development of the United States. Topics include the development of public and private education, American philosophers and their thought, the relationship between religion and science, the evolution of social behavior, technological development and its consequences, and main currents within the arts. Meets Social Thought and Tradition Intellectual Perspective requirement (ST).
